Well I picked it up...and I love everything about it! by far the greatest car I have owned. (doesn't say much).

I have a question about the tiptronic gearbox tho...

Is there a way to keep it in "manual"...I start to use the tiptronic, I boot it, and it drops a gear anyway!?

Can someone talk me through how it actually works?

That basically means the car needs the lower gear to get it going like you want it going. Even on a manual tranny I tend to drop 2 gears (6th to 4th, 5th to 3rd, and 4th to 2nd) depending on my speed.

Just tap it back twice.
