Limited -vs- Base

Hi everyone, this is my first time posted to the board, and before I ask my question, I must say I am certainly glad I found this site. Now to my question, I thought I had done my research regarding the trim levels with this car. I am looking for a manual transmission, 2004 Xfire with the tire monitoring system, heated seats, leather interior, and power seats, I thought that these options was in the limited model. then it was a limited model. I was told by a dealer, that the limited only came with the auto transmission. Yet when I look on Ebay, MSN Auto, car.com and trader online, I see cars listed as limited with manual transmission. Can someone please tell me the easiest way to distinguishes a base from a limited, and what options the limited have that are not available in the base. Thank you in advance for all your help in my quest to get the correct car I desire.

You can get the limited in 6-speed manual or automatic. In 2004 there was only one coupe model. In 2005 there was a limited and base model.

The 2004 coupe and the 2005 limited are identical, leather seats, fog lights, heated seats, power seats, etc.

In addition, the base coupes are only available as Black 6 speeds.

As the owner of a problem prone 2004 model, I might suggest you look for a 2005 or newer. Even though my manual transmission has been "fixed" it still has issues that Chrysler will not address. No point in you having problems with an out of warranty car.

I have a 2004 w/ NO PROBLEMS and love it...that being said I am selling (see cars for sale) or trading it to move to an SRT. (Buy mine!)...aforementioned is correct, only one model in 2004...but same as a limited 2005.

EXCEPT ONE CRUCIAL piece can anyone guess what the 2004 model (AKA LIMITED) has that the later limited's didn't???

ANSWER: Auto dimming inner rearview mirror

2004 - ONLY ONE MODEL (NKA LIMITED)
2005 - BASE (6 spd only/COUPE ONLY/BLACK ONLY) LIMITED (6spd/auto COUPE/CONVT) SRT6 (auto only/COUPE/CONVT)
2005 - END OF YEAR SPRING BASE COUPE MODEL WITH SRT6 rims with black accented spokes instead of all silver as in regular SRT6, BLACK WINDSHIELD AND SIDE STRAKES AND BLACK DOOR HANDLES all else was same as in REGULAR BASE MODEL (6spd/auto/COUPE/CONVT) NOTE: YES an automatic was available as an option on this particular BASE special model
2006 - SRT6 DEAD, LIMITED (6 spd/auto/COUPE/CONVT), BASE (6 spd only/COUPE/CONVT)

Haven't checked on the '07 and the rumored '08.
