My dealer says TSB's are not their responsibility!!!

Sooo I have mentioned about my perfectly good brakes gouging a very large groove into my rotor. Had to get everything changed at my expense. They said that brakes are only covered for 1 year. Is this true?

Also as for the TSB, I mentioned the TSB on the headlights and they said they don't have to change them because TSBs are only issued on a corporate level and don't apply to dealers and that in fact they don't have to adhere to any TSBs. WTF?

Brakes, Rotors, Pads, Linings, Drums, Wiper Blades, Clutch, Windows, Wheel Alignment and Wheel Balancing. 12 months or 12,000 miles.

- Sorry man, it's time for some drilled/slotted rotors and Rotex Gold Pads ($400) gotta keep an eye on them brakes - especially when they give a grinding noise.

Chrysler just replaced both my headlamp assemblies this week under warranty.

I called and they said to bring it by, they took some digital pictures, wrote it up as delaminating and condensation (one was real bad, the other only a very small spot) and sent the picture to a district manager who gave the OK to replace. I even got a free car for the day while they did the work.
Very Nice!!

Yes...brakes are only covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles, but TSB's are always to my knowledge covered by the Dealer. Maybe it's time to find another Dealership to service your car.

Cooling Fan Control Module.
Transmission "O" Ring.

Dealerships make money on warranty work. I can't believe they said no.

My headlamps were replaced under warranty too. Warranty work is paid work... your dealership is messed up.

tsbs are not covered unless the car is in warranty.

Re: My dealer says TSB's are not their responsibility!!!

Yeah it has to be a recall for it to be covered if out of warranty and not just a TSB.

My car still has 3 years on bumper to bumper and 5 years on the powertrain. WTF is wrong with these people? If its paid for work from Chrysler why would they say no? Stupid.

your dealer is wrong. find another dealer or contact chrysler, if the car is in warranty, they have to correct the problem.

Just a little FYI for those that don't know about this perk. All 2005 and up Crossfires, Pacificas, Aspens, and 300Cs get a complimentary loaner car for up to 5 days as long as it's under the 3/36 or 8/80 warranty. I got the service contract in the mail about 3 weeks after buying used. I've already taken advantage of it once. Doesn't matter what you bring it in for either.

Transmission "O" ring. Did you have the manual shift knob that pulled off the stick?

What did they do about the wind noise?? Did you notice any difference after?

Thx. :)

Why was the steering wheel, silver trim, and seats replaced that sounds very odd...

I had Cooling fan control module, Headlight vent kit, Headlight, Blown fuse replaced...

Also had the passenger door locking bolt tightened as it rattled very badly...

Re: My dealer says TSB's are not their responsibility!!!

With my 3 year warranty about to run out I took my Crossfire to Junction Chrysler in Chardon, Ohio (not Classic Chrysler in Madison, Ohio, the dealer I bought it from) with a 1-1/4 page printed list of things that needed to be fixed.

First the service manager told me Chrysler would not let him work on a car with that many things wrong with it. Then he told me that they were not required to fix damage another Chrysler dealer had done. Then he told me that they were only obligated to fix a non-running car enough to get it back to the original dealer. He refused to work on the car because it was still running.

I've been to Classic Chrysler 8 times and they have not managed to fix any substantial problems but have damaged the car when working on it.

Two other Chrysler dealerships have refused to work on it because they didn't have a Crossfire trained mechanic (they were selling Crossfires though).

I made an appointment with another Chrysler dealer and when I arrived they didn't have a loaner car for me. I rescheduled and when I arrived they again didn't have a loaner. I rescheduled again. On the morning of the appointment I found out the dealership had closed.

I've called the Chrysler help line. They ask you to dial extensions depending on the serial number of your car. They don't include an extension for Crossfire serial numbers.

I've e-mailed the Chrysler problems site. They suggest contacting a different dealer.

I've sent in the card included in the manual. There was no response.

The elements in the upper portions and lower portions of both seats failed along with the control module. My dealer said that they are not in the auto upholstery business and had both seats changed entirely. Many here who have the "heated seats issue" received different fixes for the problem , either having the particular portion of the seats replaced to just having the heating elements replaced. Needless to say they had issues after the fixes, covers not replaced properly and mismatched seats.

My steering wheel started showing some wear and the Dealer just replaced it under warranty.

The cigarette lighter module went out, and when the Tech fixed the problem and was replacing the bezel he accidentally put a small gouge in it. Service Manager & Tech came out and apologized for the error, and said that they will replace the bezel. Upon installing the new bezel the Tech realized that there was a color difference, again the Service Manager & the Tech came out and apologized...we are going to replaced all of the silver trim in the car from doors to dash!!!

I am very fortunate that I have a GREAT Dealership with 3 Certified and Diligent Crossfire Techs on staff. They even installed my McCulloch HID Light Kit and the installation will be covered under warranty.
