Default Seat adjustment

Have recently purchased a 2005 Crossfire with manual seat adjustments. The lever on the driver's side doesn't seem to work. Checked under the seat and it is connected. With nothing in the manual and the dealer knew less than I did, is the purpose of this adjustment is to make the seat raise and lower or what?

Cool Re: Seat adjustment

Congrats & Welcome to the Forum!!!

If I am not mistaken the seat adjustment on the "Base" models is only forward and back.

~ the lever (****) usually adjusts the vertical seat backs lower lumbar support... in the small of your back.

The lever on the lower side allows you to adjust seat up/down and back/forth. The **** on the upper inside of seat lets you lean the upper seat back/forth.

I have the base coupe with those seats. Is it possible that the seat is in the fully "down and back positions"? Try lifting the lever and pulling up on the back of the seat.

While sitting in the seat pull the lever and shift your weight up or down, depending upon what position the seat is presently in. Plain and simple height adjustment, works with the use of "body english".

got stuck in the all the way forward after about 4 hrs finally got the back
back where it should be, man that sucked driving that thing tilted forward.

anybody had any issues with the seat sticking or seat motor going bad.

I wish this was correct.

For me, the lumbar support is too high. After several hours, it starts to bother me.

I had the same problem as the original post. The handle wouldnt do anything when I had the seat slid back against the back wall. It was holding the seat in place. I moved it forward a few inches and wallah it worked. Sit in the seat, pull the lever up with your left hand (American car), and pull or push your body with your right hand grasping the steering wheel. I was so excited, I felt like I had just discovered plutonium for the first time.

I have the same problem. I've "adjusted" my weight, hell, I've gotten out of the car and lifted the seat while pulling on the lever, mine still doesn't do a damned thing.

Glad I found this forum. I've been wondering what the heck that lever was supposed to do. Nice that Chrysler didn't feel the need to even mention manual seats in the owner's manual. Rat bastards!

Can't have it both ways. I see you haven't been here long. Since a vocal majority/minority consider this an MB through and through, it would seem that Daimler didn't find it necessary to provide Chrysler with fully informative manuals on the cars it built for Chrysler in Europe.

When sorting through your ******* rats, you should not overlook those that were honorably concieved and born.
Good wishes,
PP
