Help - I'm messing up with the wax.
I was waxing the car today. I put the wax on in the afternoon, originally planned to clean them off in the late evening, but found out lots of moisture on the car (just like in the cold morning). Now what should I do? Should I clean up the mess with a dry cloth ASAP? or I can wait until tomorrow the sun come up and let it dry again? (But I bet the moisture will get very serious when the sun first come up in the morning) Sorry I don't have an indoor garage.

Is there a reason why you planned on the wax sitting that long? I wonder if you will have to wash it off and start all over again. Don't let the sun bake it on.

If you have to wax outside you really don't want to let the wax sit any longer than absolutely necessary for it to haze. You run the risk of all sorts of fallout (water is probably the least of these) that will scratch the paint as you then work to remove the hazed wax.
Otherwise, I wonder if removing the hazed wax with some dew on it would actually help to give you that "spit shine" look. Not sure I'd want to the unintentional experiment though. |

normally the moisture build up in the morning, not the evening... I better make sure I have enough time to clean up the wax before getting started.
I'm waiting for the sun to dry the car up a little bit, and see what happens. |

Cleaned up the wax, it was about 80 - 90% dry when I clean the wax off. It actually worked out pretty okay, nice and smooth. But the only problem is the "liquefied" wax went down everywhere, across the windows, more areas to clean up.

Wax your car panel by panel, once the wax has hazed over it is time to remove it, there is no benefit to leaving it on for long periods of time.

with this method and a quality carnuba paste wax on a moistened foam applicator... i can complete the waxing of a car in 45 minutes or so. |

next time... you may want to leave the detailing/waxing to a professional in your case. :( |

Agree with all the comments. I've been waxing cars since I was 12. Never let the wax sit for long periods of time. Panel by panel! At least you gave it a try!!
