Crossfire tires
It depends a lot on the type of driving a person does. My 04 has 27000 miles on the original tires and the rears have 5/32 and the fronts have 8/32. The tread new is 10/32. I have heard of wear mileage as little as 10k miles and as much as 30k miles on the forum. click here for more reading on this subject.

Why do you ask? If you find a car that you are interested in, just look at the tires. If they ook like they need to be replaced, tell the dealer to replace them or take the money off so you can buy some new ones.
I got to around 15k on the stock continentals......but I drive a little aggressive.
As a sidenote.....I go to Oakville and Brampton a couple times a month......I always try to go into Toronto...........I love the stares I get in my Crossfire. If you get one you'll love being the center of attention in the middle of a bunch of Beemers. I almost think the Toronto has a law that every house has to have one BMW.

There's numerous low mileage XFires out there for sale. I found mine with 6000 miles on it and the tires look brand new. I would suspect if you purchase a car with over 20,000 miles on but under 30,000 miles, you may have the original rubber on the car and new tires may be in your future real soon. I would set my priorities on the condition of the used XFire and worry about the tires later. Look for something with under 10,000 miles and you will be riding on that rubber for a long time.

I have 20k on my Crossfire with the original Conti's and they are still in great shape. Probably at about 5/32 wear or in other words 50%. I also keep them filled with nitrogen as this will keep the tire pressure monitor from going off from tempature swings and makes the tires last longer since it maintains more consistant pressure.
BTW I am not a driver that babies his car or tires and have even done a little burn out or two off the line when it was slick so as not to hurt the tires to much. The All Season Conti's seem to hold up really well.

I usually replaced my tires with around 20k miles on them because they started to ride rough! The last set I had were contis and they lasted ok. I put 70k on my '04 before getting my SRT6.
