I just got back from the Pavillions weekly Saturday car show in Scottsdale, Arizona. The rumor is true. There are no Crossfires out there. I was OK with this until I saw the row of Prius owners representing (one with the hood up). We should line ours up before it gets too hot!

I grew up in North PHX/Glendale. I used to go to that show every week with my '65 Chevelle that I've had since I was 15. I still have the car, it's stored at my parent's house in Glendale.

Fellow AZ Crossfire Owners,

Pavillions show has not been very good lately, I have been during the afternoon the past couple of times becasue at night it is usually the same "tuner" crowd. If you want to see a good car show next weekend and even see the cars drag race, then you should attend the Friday Night Drags at Firebird International Raceway. It is alwasy full of awesome caars, and it is fun to watch.

I have been the last few weeks, trying to lower my quarter mile time. Best run I had was a 15.0??. I have made about 6 passes. Anyways, next weekend I am going to try and break into the 14.99's.

I will be there at about 6:00p.m., I would love to race against another Crossfire, I have never seen another one there, nor has anyone else that has commented on my car.

If you need directons or have any questions just post here or PM me. And if you are looking for a Crossfire gathering to attend, check the other site, I believe they are getting together on APRIl 4,5,6 down near Tucson or Bizbee or something.

 

I may be interested in going out to watch the drags but the stereo upgrades to my x would put me at a disadvantage on the track.

Beyond exhaust and a sprint booster I don't think I will do any mechanical upgrades.

id like to go to firebird! ive ran down in tucson SIR but didnt have much luck given i only got to make a couple of passess (first test in tune of spring VERY crowded!) i came out with 15.3 best but my 60 foot was horrible 2.3!!! i think if ran down at firebird i could break 14s. my car feels very healthy and i did beat an 02 gt mustang that night so im curious if the lower elevation in pheonix would help my ETs. let me no the dates for the upcoming races???maybe we can meet up. and if you interested i could get some info on the upcoming MIDNIGHT MADNESS races at SIR. its very fun all the tuners come out and they run the tree like a street light from red straight to green! kind of a car show too! let me no

I am interested in going as well, just let me know a time, are you all thinking evening time (after 5:00) or late after noon? If someone can only be there at a certain time then speak up and I'm sure the rest will follow. Is everyone gonna clean their's up?

I am new to this forum, and not sure where to park out there, but I think it would be great to get quite a few of us out there, anyway my son and i will be out around 2pm or so. Hope to meet some of you there I have the inferno red 05' coupe.

 

Obviously we should park on the NORTH side of the parking lot becasue that is meant for newer model cars. Whoever gets there first, just park in an open area where a few more of us could park in a row. It is not usually crowded during the day, but it is BIKE WEEK so who knows? See you all there at like 2;00.

 

Ok, so after attempting to clean my car, I have come to the conclusion that at 2:00, it is going to be deathly hot. I mean I am up for the show, but it is going to be hard to stay and be comfortable anytime before the sun goes down. Maybe we should delay the gathering till later, like when the sun is down.

 

Yep, I do agree, we will head there around 5 or 6 pm, see u there. Just drove by and only 4 or 5 cars in lot, and they are just now putting out the signage. Is anyone else going that U know of

 

I will be at the car show at 6:00. Me and my girlfriend are going to eat at YC's Mongolian BBQ, but we will be walking around after that. Hope to see some of you there.
