Do you do your own oil changes if you're still under warranty?

New to the car, new to having a car that actually still has a warranty.

For those of you that still have warranty left on your car, do you guys do your own oil changes? If so, are you worried that the dealership will cite lack of maintenance as a reason to void your warranty or not cover warranty work? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I have NEVER let the dealer change oil in any of my vehicles. I will do my own as long as I am able. Have never been questioned when it came to warranty work of any kind. But I do keep my receipts and records of maintenance that I do myself....just in case there ever is a question.

I like to go under the car and take a look around. A visual inspection is always a good idea. And no I don't let them change my oil.

Never had a concern about chaning my own oil while under warranty. Come t think of it, I rather prefer t that way. I let the dealer change the oil in my 2007 Dodge Dakota, but only because he does it for free for life. Why would I pay for something the dealer included for free. Free washes too. But back to the Crossfire...I've only changed oil once....still haven't gone 10K miles on Two Harleys. I've been thinking of changing oil again just to get my head under the hood again.

Just save all your receipts for the oil filters and the oil that you purchase and you shouldn't have any problems.
