Default 6-speed: clunk going into reverse

Test drove a 2005 with 40k last weekend. I noticed when shifting into reverse, there was a slight clunk when it engaged. It kind of reminded me of my old Buick that had sloppy u-joints. Just a slight metallic clunk as just started to back up. Anyone else notice this on their car or am I imagining something awful when it is perfectly normal on a higher mileage Crossfire.

My roadster with 29k miles, which has always been babied, makes zero noise when going into reverse.
