After five years, 75K miles and four accidents it was time to wave good-by to my Silver-Blue 04 Coupe, #01145. Everyone of the people that ran into it said, "I didn't see you." Well I got one now that they can't miss; it's a bright red 08 Coupe, #75601. Found it at a Chrysler dealer in Lompoc California, California Dodge/Chrysler. They had 25 Xfires in stock! Six
The new one is cool, I can now read the radio dial and it doesn't pop out of 1st gear. The one drawback though, is that its an auto, never had anything but sticks in 48-years behind the wheel. I guess I can learn how to use it?
Most unfortunately, I picked "Red" up on Aug. 1 and the dealer went out of business on Aug. 5; guess all those Xfires were to much of a drag on his flooring account. Anyway I got a killer deal along with the forever power-train warranty.
Only change I shall make is to paint the windshield trim, the silver looks way off with the red body color!
Wish me luck.

You'll like red. You will get used to the silver trim, I did. When I first bought mine, I wanted to paint the surround red, then decided not. Good Luck on your new purchase.

Congrats! The red is a pretty color. My last crossfire was an auto while my new one is a 6 speed and they are both nice. The crossfire's automatic is actually one of the nicest automatic transmissions I've had. Enjoy your car!!

Stick with the factory silver trim. It looks good on the car. Part of the XFire mystique.

I think the auto works so well that I don't miss shifting but everyone has a preference

I thought an automatic transmission was even stranger as the only option on SRT I purchase a month ago. Auto proved to be an asset during the purchase decision because my wife could drive car. I have to say I'm not at all disappointed with the auto as it's extremely smooth plus you have the option to manually work through the gears in the shift mode. I know it's not quite the same as pushing the clutch but something you'll get use to. You'll at least be able to drink a cup of coffee. With the stiff suspension of SRT I only dare drink water. Another feature I've learned to enjoy.

Enjoy your new crossfire.

I think the correct color name is called Cinnamon (aka Red). It is really one of the colors I wish the SRT came in, but no such luck. You should enjoy the auto-stick. I was a gear swifter for 40+ years like you and was really worried that I had made a big mistake getting an automatic. That question was quickly answered after the first red light changed from Cinnamon to green. Zooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmm.

Your biggest problem now is figuring out your short list of aftermarket go-fast goodies to add on.

Enjoy !
