electric seats stopped working???

hi just new to this forum..... just bought my 04 x-fire 3 months ago (i love it) but recently the seats have stopped working... strangely enough they work when the driver door is open which is odd so i guess there are no problems with the motors.... any1 come across this before???

The seats in my car work when the car is turned on. When the car is turned off, my passenger seat will work if the door is open. I have not checked the driver seat but probably also works with car off and doors open. So it sounds like your seats are not getting power through the "normal" channel when the doors are closed. Of course I am assuming you are trying to use them with the car ON and not getting results.
