Brake Light Activation Noise
The last couple of days I've noticed a very subtle noise when I slightly apply the brake pedal. I backed up this morning and discovered the noise was some kind switch activating the actual brake lights to come on. I can best explain it as a "pop" or "tick." If you know how the turn signal sounds, the noise I'm hearing kind of sounds like the deeper, lower "tick" when the blinker is turned on (for lack of better explanation). I'm not really concerned; however, I've never heard it before and was curious to see if anybody else has noticed it.
Thanks for any response!

Are you sure you're not just hearing the switch that turns on the light that is mounted near the paddle?

Thanks everyone. I'm sure that's what it is but since I had never paid that much attention to it before, I wasn't sure if it was normal for that to be audible. Thanks for clearing it up.
Not uncommon for there to be squeaks from the pedal linkages. It's possible that the brake light switch, activated by the brake pedal depressing, it making a little click. I don't notice much of that with the top down on the roadster. A little WD40 or silicone spray works wonders on the linkages. I even hit all the rubber grommets and suspension linkages when I wash my rims.
