Air injection valve switch??
After getting my car fixed, I decided I would take on the task of fixing the next check engine light. The dealer said there where two air injection valve switches that needed to be replaced. Anyone know what the heck it is? If so, would you know where to get it? They said they were $159 each. Thanks!

Crossfire SRT6 Documentation Collection
use the search for the above. download manual for your car. Go to the air injection section. It is all there, good luck! Thank you MMZ |

They are the two little(not too little) valves on the top front of your engine. One on either side of the secondary air injection pump. They have air lines going to them from the pump. Should be pretty simple to swap them out, IF they need it. I think the service manual has the procedure to test them. But dont quote me.
MikeR Edit: see the drawing attached. It is the two valves that are circled. |

Wow, thanks guys! Next step, where can I get a better deal than the dealer?

Re: Air injection valve switch??
Try the Daimler Dealers in you area. I found one in my area that will cross reference the part numbers [if needed] to the SKL. I have found the Daimler parts to be over 40% cheaper and they have a better chance of having the parts in stock. The Damiler will offer advice but will not work on the Crossfire.
You can also try on line: as some owners have removed the system and might be willing to sell the un-needed parts. I believe the aforementioned referenced system is a pollution control system which injects additional air to the cad converter to warm it up quicker during a cold engine start-up and then the system shuts off. Good Luck KK |

Re: Air injection valve switch??
That could be it, but without a part number or picture I would be calling them and asking questions. There is a right and left switchover valve listed in the parts list, 05096394AA (driver) & 05096395AA(passenger).
Go here..... https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=13875 ...and download the Crossfire Parts Manual and look at Emissions, Section 25, Air Pumps, Fig. 25-510. MikeR |
