Crossfire Blues
I don't really know if this post has a point or not...
So, after getting 2 major speeding tickets, the husband had me trade the crossfire for a honda and I am going through MAJOR withdrawals. I mean... I really, really miss that car. So, I told him it's not working and have started my search for another one. 'Cept this time, I'm going SRT. The craziest thing I've come across while looking for an SRT is that a lot of the cars I'm finding online listed as SRTs are not SRTs... So tempted to email those people and let them know. |
Re: Crossfire Blues
Wait, wait... WAIT.
You got only two speeding tickets with the Crossfire... and then he made you rid the car? Who is this guy?? But, if something good does come out of this, you will have an SRT6... |
Re: Crossfire Blues
Now THAT is an abusive relationship

Re: Crossfire Blues
Next time (and I know if you had 2 tickets an SRTwill get more)
Just get rid of him. CROSSFIRES before husbands...... |
Re: Crossfire Blues
23 year old babe with a lead foot. I think I see the point of the post.
Buy another Crossfire AND a radar detector. We're on your side. |
Re: Crossfire Blues
In my house, we have a rule: you pay your own tickets and your own auto insurance, and you can drive as fast as you want.
Wanna move to Pennsylvania? LOL |
Re: Crossfire Blues
it's your money static, you earned it so buy what you like. life is too short to have your husband give you **** over a couple speeding tickets. that is unless you got caught doing 140mph , then maybe you are a bit nuts. lol

Re: Crossfire Blues
I own 2 SRT6's and have had only one ticket, but he was waiting for me as I had been really bad (150 mph) - had to stop and pay a toll. Best $.50 I ever spent.
Now, get the Passport radar detector with GPS - a very wise investment that has kept me out of trouble everywhere I go, including the Tail of the Dragon. And, good luck on finding the SRT6, you will love it. If you feel you need to slow down, I have found that racing at a track has slowed me down on the streets and made me a better and safer driver (I didn't say I was a really slow driver.) Consider taking High Performance Driver's Ed with your local Porsche Car Club and enjoy the speed, excitement and rectal pucker all at the same time. Jane |

Re: Crossfire Blues
:p Just to bring some international support here - go -girl and dont loose the faith! My wife refuses to drive the xfire, and just dos'nt get it.
So any lady that cruises around in my fav car definately gets my vote ! |
Re: Crossfire Blues
Good advice Jane, I like your spirit!
Same experience for me. Take to track days. It relieves the need to go fast on the road. It is fun to treat the car (and yourself) to an opportunity to drive like it was designed to.:D :D :D
