My Generals vs. 20 minutes of a non-stop downpour
The 04 Crossfire I picked up last week came with a 4 new General tires. Tires I really wasn't sure about until today. Let me share a little about my drive home experience today. Besides the fact, it feels like it has been raining here everyday for the last month. I spend 20 minutes of my one hour commute home driving thru this tremendous downpour on RT80 WEST in NJ. I have to tell you... my General Exclaim UHP's rocked! The car felt very secure and no hydroplaning even at speeds around 70 mph. Road and handling felt great. They really have been oustanding in this non-stop rain. Believe it or not, I kind of liked them better than the Continental's I have on my Audi A4 Quattro.
BTW, my Rain-X window washer fluid also came in very handy today.
Here is a pic of today's downpour as it was dying down.

My Tires...
Well finally after all these years, as the saying goes SOONER OR LATER YOU'LL OWN GENERALS, I got my first set all the way around and so far, they are kick a$$ tires and a good price to boot
I'm coming up on needing a set for my roadster, currently at 33k miles. What is your tread life (mileage) experience with the Generals? How are they on dry roads? I was leaning towards Michelin summer tires since I really don't need all seasons - XFs are garaged all winter.

I purchased the car almost two weeks ago. So far I have put on over 1000 miles on the new tires. They seem great on both dry and wet roads. No complaints so far. My Generals are Ultra High Performance Summer tires.

If it is a NW or TVT CAI, the filter is directly beind the grill, so unless you are driving in 2 feet of water you should be fine LOL
