Default cd player nightmare

hey guys. having a big problem with this cd player. yesterday, i put a cd in and it would not play. the screen siad loading, then said stop. i switched it back to the radio. when i hit the cd button agian it just said stop. i took the cd out and tried another disc, same thing. after driving about 15 mins, i tried agian and it worked. today i get in the car, same problem. i eject the cd and its cracked in half. i figured the cd may have already had a crack in it. i put another disc in, it will not play. i eject this cd and its cracked down the side. im so f**********ng pissed. :x

Has anyone else noticed how warm the CD is when you take it out of the player?

Hmmm... it's getting pretty cold here in Jersey... I wonder if the CDs were sitting out ni the car and cold... and the heat from the radio cracked them?

Well, we here (in Indiana) have frosted three or four times since I got mine. I get it every morning, slide in a new day's CD, and they play just fine. (Today was the first frost since this thread started).

Car's in a carport with only one wall and a roof, and I'm right on water, so it get plenty of weather and inside's darned cold in the mornings. But, I have noticed no ill effects as of yet.

(off subject, the heated seats get up to tempature *fast*. I'm not even to the guardhouse in the mornings and they are feeling toasty [150 yards or so, no idle time, just starting and driving]. Great job there!)
