Tow away alarm

My car would not let me turn the key and when I looked around to figure out why. I noticed that my tow away light was on. I played with it a bit then the key turned and I got my car stated. this just happened. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Just back from Iraq so I don't like having the problems as soon as I get home. Thank you all for taking the time to at least look at this.

I believe the "tow away" toggle just disables the alarm from going off if the car is lifted. I had my SRT6 flatbedded and, come to think of it, I did not press that button and the alarm never went off. Anyway, you may be experiencing the dreaded failing ignition switch syndrome. Do a search and you'll see quite a few threads.
