I don't want to start another flame target, but...

I've seen a couple mentions about some kind of link between Crossfires and AMG, and try as I may, I have not been able to search out anything that describes the supposed link.

Is there one? Is it real, concocted, mythical, BS?

Don't really care, Just interested.

Are all of the engines assembled at the same plant (N/A, SRT, and AMG)?

The SRT and AMG engines are hand assembled in Affalterbach at the AMG facility. The NA is done elsewhere.

Is it real? Well, yes, it is. My supercharger has AMG stamped on it as do many of the hard parts of the car. Just lift a hood of an SRT6 and you'll see the AMG link. Does that answer your question?

Just wondered if I was imagining things!

Can we take it that robots put the n/a engines together or are they just hand assembled elsewhere?
I was wondering if I could boast that my engine was "hand assembled" or just put together by R2D2.:p

^ Good point.

Though I'm going to go out on a limb and say the N/A is the same factory sending engines to the SLK assemblies, and most likely is put together buy robots.:(

I don't know for sure that the standard NA Crossfire engines are assembled by robots, however I am sure that they are put together on an assembly line. Whereas each and every one of the SRT and AMG engines are specifically hand assembled by one technician.
