Default Wow. I want these wheels.

I just found this picture of the Crossfire. These are the first wheels I like better than the stock ones. Absolutely beautiful. They are made by a company called Lowenhart. Unfortunately they cost about a grand each, not including tires, which is more than I would ever spend on wheels at this point in my life. Here they are:

I want them too.... But, I'm with you.... Not at that price. I can see $500.00 but no more than that.

Wow that wide lip on the rear really looks nice. Hmmm.. My friend is a wheel vendor. He's been bugging me to fit up some demo wheels at cost.

.. must fight the temptation!

Does he sell Lowenhart? If I could get those at cost, I would do it in a second.

If any of you decide to do this, I would be interested in buying two of the 18" wheels from your originals

Lets make a deal!!!!!!

It would make your purchase of the new rims a bit easier.......

I would go for 20" in the back and 19" in the front. I basically want the exact rims in that picture with the lip. Not sure on the exact model number.

Hey guys:

Yes, those are Lowenhart's LD5's. 19x9's in the front, and 20x11's in the rear.

Glad you like it...more cool stuff to come in '04!

They look kinda ghetto... I dunno, but it takes something away from the complete car.. They kinda clash with the lines of the car.. They should compliment it instead.

I agree with Chrytec... it takes away from the clean design of the car. Too gwady and makes it look like a "boy racer", not the sophisticated car it is. I'm not saying there aren't better looking wheels out there, these just don't float my boat. My .02‘...

Hi everyone. Yes I did hook up with them in SEMA, and I can get them. However the Lowenhart LD5s have a 6 week back order.

Also can get them in the new black chrome look. Let me know if you want a quote in the black chrome.

Here is the LD5's in Chrome.

They also come in Silver. The below price is for Chrome.

For the rear 20x10.5 you are looking at $1,280 each
For the front 19x8.5 you are looking at $1,040 each
For a grand total of $4,640 before tires.

I also have hookup on tires if anyone is interested.

Another wheel to take a look at and is a bit cheaper is the Maido ST5

For the rear 20x10.5 you are looking at $950 each
For the front 19x8.5 you are looking at $830 each
For a grand total of $3,560 before tires.

Also what do you think of this rim?

If anyone is intersted, I can get you a quote on this one.

ZainoMobileDetail,

The black chrome looks interesting. I'm afraid with all the brake dust the Xfire puts out they would be hard to keep clean. I couldn't afford them anyway.

Not slamming you, just some constructive critisim on your web site if I may... the banner that follows your cursor around is really annoying. If it were me I'd lose it. ;-)

Now the black chrome may look better... Regular shiney chrome has been sooo overdone and abused... (bling bling, crackhead ding dong cart... bling-bling!) I'm for a painted or machined wheel myself.

nice wheels but are they compatible with the original TPMS sensors equipped on the Crossfire. Lots of nice wheels out there, but beware, not all will fit the sensors like the stock wheels.
I saw the Crossfire in the DUB booth at the Detroit Auto Show for myself. The one pictured at the top of the first page. Yes it had a nice lip. But it didn't have the sensors installed like the stock wheels. Unless they decided that the Tire Pressure Monitoring feature was not needed. Some manufactures of aftermarket wheels (HRE for one)are recommending that the sensor just be taped and straped to the wheel inside the air chamber of the tire. Let me tell you, with the centrifugal forces at work when driving it is not correct and can lead to tire failure should they come loose. I guess they just want looks and not performance. They stock system attaches the sensor to the noticable metal valve on the stock wheel. And actually the sensor unit is permently molded to the valve stem.
So just beware guys, all that glitters is not gold. And all wheels are not the same. Cost does not equal quality. Get the job done right. Get a wheel that will fit your Tire Pressure Monitoring sensors/valves like the stock ones, or be prepared for a unsafe jury rig or give up the option of Tire Pressure Monitoring all together. Afterall, I guess you can just put a piece of black tape over the TPM warning light or remove the bulb....of course I'm kidding.

I ordered a set of Diablo deltaforce in black and chrome. I stayed with the factory size but i think I might go a little deeper in the back.
