Crossfires in Europe
I have a business client in town from Luxembourg. Picked him up at the front door of the Mirage. He got in the Crossfire and fawned all over it. From what he was saying and the way he was acting the car has a pretty exclusive cache in Europe. I.e., you'ld think I picked him up in a Carerra or a newer XK8. Wish people saw it that way here. Is this normal or did I just hit a guy who happens to like the car?

Re: Crossfires in Europe
The thought of travelling to Germany to buy a Crossfire sounds pretty cool. Congrats on your first post.

Re: Crossfires in Europe
I have been in Germany & Austria for 2 weeks now & have just seen 1 Crossfire. They seem pretty rare here to me. Lots of Porches, that might not have been a big deal to him.

Re: Crossfires in Europe
Here in my part of the UK and in fact all over they are very few and far between which is why I love it so much. Porche ten to the dozen, Mercs, BMWZ4, Mazda RX8 Nissan bla bla bla see them all day everyday. Had XF for 4 months and dont think I could count the number of others seen on one hand that includes travelling the width of the country.
Went to Tenby the other week (South Wales 600 mile round trip) and some guy followed me to my parking space and stopped just to ask if he could see the car and pop the bonnet he was made up when I said ok (just to show her off a bit)!!! most people seem to be amazed by it and it seems exclusive and expensive to them. Needless to say I never told him it was worth less than their new Ford Focus!! |

Re: Crossfires in Europe
You can blame/thank Jeremy Clarkson for th lack of Crossfire's in Europe. Most people in America don't watch top gear.

Re: Crossfires in Europe
Could someone tell me what the purpose for the rear fog light is. Is it a driving light to be used in fog while going forward that provides better visibility to those behind you? Alternatively, is it for backing-up with a cutting amber glow? Alternatively, is it a down-directed light to cut under the fog? And why, if anything other than the first, is there a law requiring such a thing?
