I've met a couple of drivers around my area... just wondering who else is out there? Do any of you go on Xfire runs around the city at all??

There are a bunch of owners in the Chicagoland area and they usually get together once a month. I always had a great time with them last year when I was living in Chicago. You should definitely consider joining them.

I'm pretty sure they have started meeting up once a week in Oakbrook at Redstone for a bite to eat too.

 

Are you going to any of the long distance gtgs? CAA, Carlisle, Woodward, or Dragon Christine......????

I would go to some of these gtg's. Problem is, they're usually too far out in the 'burbs.

 

I'm going to Carlisle. Wish I could go to CAA.

i'd like to attend CAA... i'm seriously considering it. i would need more information of course on its exact whereabouts and what time and all....

i've had my car 2 years and i've never been involved with anything concering it... i think it would be a lot of fun =]

 

I'm actually closer in to the city. Much closer, it seems, than most people that come. Where have you had them recently?

That might have been reasonable for me to show up to. It's a little under an hour from where I am. I'm about 200 miles south of there at the moment, however, and won't be back til after the 20th, so I'm curiously not there right now.

Have you ever held one in Elmhurst or Rosemont (or in somewhere in the immediate vicinity of those places)?

 

Elmhurst is the town I was born in.
We have not had any GTG there or in Rosemont though.

 

well i don't mind the travel, so whenever you have a meet just let me know where to be. i'm only 35 mins outside chicago... an hour or so (maybe a little more) from shaumburg.

 

Im down if anything happens in northern indiana or chicago, Im in fort wayne so its not far. Seems like there are a LOT of crossfires in fort wayne, I have seen at least 8-9 this year!

 

I have said it another thread and think it could apply here as well. I think a GTG in Merrillville/the region or a little farther south in Lafayette around Purdue would be great. Plenty of places to eat (more restaurants per capita in West Lafayette that anywhere else in the US) some cool photo op locations around the old university buildings, and beers at Harry's Chocolate shop afterwards. I know some around the Indy area that would make the trip. There are some in Laffy and the region that are close and if we get some Chicago guys to come down, we would have a pretty solid group. Anyone have any suggestions....
