HELP: BAS/ESP Light AND Bulb-Out Lights come on together
HELP: BAS/ESP Light AND Bulb-Out Lights come on together
It seems I have a weird problem.
I have had an intermittant problem with the signal indicators recently (where they stop working altogether). When this happens, I get the bulb-out warning light coming on. This is 'solved' by applying pressure to the light control switch for a second, and with this, the bulb out light dissapears and everything goes back to normal (ie the indicators work again). Problem solved (happens maybe once every 3 months)
The BAS/ESP AND Bulb-Out warning coming on together seems a different matter as no amount of pressure on the Light switch makes the slightest difference. If the lights come on with the ignition, they stay on. If they don't doesnt, it never comes on during driving. It's a weird one. Very intermittent. I have checked and there are no lights out on the car, so think its a stupid error but frustrating one too.
Weird problem. Any advice?

I would verify all connections to the bulbs and ensure that you have checked ALL the bulbs, sometimes people miss side markers or license plate illuminators.
Also, depending on the year of the car and if the battery has been replaced, I would start there, if the car is older than an '06, first thing I would do is replace the battery. These cars do funny things when voltages are not 100%.
