Default Service after 7 years!

My wifes 04 SSB finally needed a tow. The crank sensor went and it would crank but not start. We bought it in July 2003. I don't think that is so bad.

$328.00 including tow.

That's good to hear and I hope that is the norm, not the exception.

As for the 07 I bought in May, it has already required about $2400 in repairs. Fortunately it was covered by the last 2 weeks of the factory 3/36K warranty. The car has less than 4000 mi on it.

Hmmm. Mabye I'll stick with my '05 and not trade for another - mine has been flawless (except for the "I can't open the trunk cause the electric lock is jamming" from last fall).

Bought my 05 limited August of 09 with 6800 miles, now 9000 still looks and runs like new

I'm knocking on wood and throwing salt over my shoulder as I write this. Over 10k on an '08 w/o a single repair charge to me or to Chrysler on the warranties. Just one fit and finish issue that involved tucking an exposed wire. '08 Focus has ~ $600 charged to Ford. '07 MKX has about $2k charged back to Ford (mostly wrapped up in three radios). '08 Yaris is also at zero, but I've made a couple of minor repairs that would have cost some hundreds at a dealer (no convenient dealer, but convenient tools and Auto Zone). As to too many cars, no. Too many kids.
