Please Help!!! Urgent!!! I'm Screwed!!!
just changed my brakes and was driving around testing em. wen i got home i tried to do a burn out. tired would kick out so i stalled like 4 times, put the car in revese to back up the street and the car shut off by it self. wouldnt start after that. amde like a cranking sound like a stuttering one though. tried taking off battery terminals to reset everything. car wouldnt start for about half hour. car then turned over perfectly normal and perfect idle. after about 5 mins the car turns off by its self. i have a check egine light on as well. then wouldnt start again for about half hour then starts over again and runs perfectly for 5 mins then shuts off. i even drove the car for about a min or two and it ran perfectly. but then shut off after 5 mins about and makes that same sutting sound. PLEASE HELP!!! school for me starts tuseday and i gotta drive there every day. pleease and thank you

You need to see what codes yer throwing.
CPS does sound like a possible item. About $40 or so. |

when the car cools down bring it to a local auto parts store that will pull the code for you.

just got the code ran. it was the crankshaft position sensor. just for future info for anyone else. thank you to everyone. if anyone knows. what size star socket is need to change the crank shaft position sensor please let me know thank you

If it is the sensor be sure to buy from the right vender.
I had this problem start last week and checked with the dealer for the going rate, what a suprise, the price is through the roof --- $265 what a rip off!!! I just replaced my sensor today... $40 for the part and $40 to ship UPS red, I'm impaitent OK... Well why are you doing burn-outs in your crossfire? Abuse will tend to cause these types of problems in any vehicle. Try to take it to a chrysler tech & run the car for codes. Also stop abusing your car if you need it for reliable transportation.

I had the same problem, I replaced the sensor and then it happened again a week later
