Roadster or Coupe? Which one would you choose

I was just curious as too how many of us crossfire owners would have chosen the roadster over the coupe if they were released at the same time. I like the roadster but to be honest I would still have gone for the coupe. I just think it looks better than the ragtop.

Coupe......... no question about it.

I love the coupe with Lambo doors.

My wife wants the yellow roadster :D

Let me know once you get those done Cyril! I'm really thinking about it lately! :) no one would know WTF kinda car it was for sure then lol!

Coupe of course... the rag top is just an SLK IMO

Cyril Baldwin 04-22-2004 12:40 AM

I'm still checking which one has the best product yet. If you go to the other forum on tech and mods you can see informative comments about the Lambo doors.

I'm dying to have one...... Lambo rocks!

if it was done right

the ragtop looks like crap, michigan has a winter, have you seen the ford mustange ragtop, same effect

LOL ! very well put... Michigan's weather can be harsh... unless this person lives in Cali... I would worry about that!

The Crossfire coupe looks DIFFERENT then all other cars... the Roadster just kinda looks bland to me now...

thmccarthy 04-22-2004 01:05 AM

ragtop

i would love it in a hard top, but they said it was a $19,000 value added (dealer referal), to rich for me!

wonderdallas 04-22-2004 02:27 AM

I think the roadster looks great except for a few too many cutlines around the rear (with the tonneau cover, spoiler, trunk etc).

BUT the coupe is cooler because it retains that oh-so-distinctive roof.

Both are neat....the coupe is neater and will probably be the rarer car in a few years.

Yep, I agree...the coupe's distinctive lines are lost on the roadster. Too bad...as a Cali girl, I do miss having a ragtop, but my XFire is wayyyy more fun than my Miata ever was. No regrets here.

imported_mightyjlr 04-22-2004 02:50 AM

I would take the roadster, but that doesn't mean I don't love the coupe. I'm just a convertible kind of guy. There isn't ANYTHING better then cruising down the Jersey shore in a convertible. Seriously, nothing is better than that. Nothing.

gregthegr8 04-22-2004 02:50 AM

I'm in CA and would take the coupe in a second over the roadster. I don't like convertibles and without the distintive ghetto booty with the badonkadonk butt, the car loses its appeal and looks almost like every other rounded convertible like the audi tt, boxster, lexus, etc. Just my 2 cents.

Gotta chime in with Coupe.

WesMichaels 04-22-2004 07:23 AM

I'll keep my coupe. I never cared for rag tops. I never was very fond of the cloth or vinyl covered hard tops either. :? I do like the look of the roadster with the top down and I could be interested if it had a folding or removable hard top. :D

middle_age_crazy 04-22-2004 08:43 AM

the coupe oh yes the coupe the lines the figure and they will be a classic some day

andrew 04-22-2004 09:21 AM

coupe....for its lines.

Andreanna 04-22-2004 10:03 AM

Most definitely the coupe!
