Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

Hi !
LKQ got me a different part. I wanted a BCM but got something else. I guess a TCM. Anyways, Anyone know the right part# for a BCM that was for a Coupe N/A?

Can it be 06104678AA?

Hang on I have got other part numbers.
2004 - 05099700AA *
2005 - 05136131AA
2006 - 05136131AA *
2007 - 05189811AA

Good luck, hasn't the part you are replacing got the number on it?
* These numbers are available on the SRT6 documentation thread under parts lists, or Rekahs post.

Re: Part# for BCM for N/A coupe

Interestingly the parts manual calls out the same BCM for the NA and the SRT

4 MODULE, Body Controller
05136131AA 1 C, Z P, S, X 29 EGX, EGZ DED, DGJ,DGU
1 C, Z P, S, X 27 EGX, EGZ DED, DGJ,DGU

180, the part number you gave, 05099007AA, is for the Relay Control Module...

Edit: Sorry 180. I was dyslexic. You listed 05099700AA, which is correct in the 2004 parts manual.

All models use the same one according to the Chrysler parts breakdown. 05189811AA will replace them all. But you don't want to pay $1890.00 US list or the $2490 Cdn!

I am searching for a used one and the common MB part # seems to be A 193 820 00 26 but mine has A 193 820 04 26 on it so I assume they both work. Will find out....

The BCM is for a specific car, it is a computer board that is programmed to do certain functions, I do not think you can take a board from your home computer insert it into your neighbours and have it work from the get go.
A different Mercedes number like you are saying will be different in some way to yours. It may actually harm your car if it does something your car cannot handle.
Can you not get your BCM reprogrammed for some reason?

Re: Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

Onehundred80 check my thread under "spoiler up" - have tried everything except taking it to the dealer and by the sounds of it they are going to tell me I need a new BCM. I have checked and all part #'s end up as the new one 05189811AA so I am again assuming that they are interchangeable. Reading the 500+ threads on spoilers up and BCM's it seems that they have been replaced with out the dealers help and just require 30 seconds in the "on/accessory" position to "accept" the new BCM
Mr Miata -thanks for the lead -if it came out of an SRT hopefully it will make my n/a go faster..... For that price I am willing to give it a try!

It is odd that you have the BCM with a part number that someone else says comes from an SRT6 (A 193 820 04 26)
The 04 part of the number puts this as a modified configuration of MB part # A 193 820 00 26 and so presumably a later part.
The 193 part means both were originally for the Crossfire model range.

Re: Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

If the OP does have an SRT6 BCM wouldn't that explain why his spoiler will not function correctly? Basically since it was not an option it was not programmed for a moving spoiler?

Toss in the fact is was working fine.. ;)

Re: Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

Oh... right - I guess that rules that theory out. It would make sense that it is just an unused option on the SRT6 since they had the moving spoilers first.

Re: Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

You can add in the fact that mine was a very early build roadster ( Feb. 04 ) and it adds to the confusion on the original part #'s!

Re: Part # for BCM for N/A coupe

I bought the one you posted MrMiata. Same part #'s . It added new issues - I will post details in "Spoiler up". It may require dealer programming but will find out as I made an appointment to get it checked out. I put the old one back and it is back to original issues.
