Default MAF removal

I would like to remove the MAF and its housing to clean it out with MAf cleaner. I see the top 2 spring clips and the bottom one. How do I get the 4th clip loose? It seems to be buried in the middle of the housing.

OK. I was able to get the MAF out. Release the top clip, hold back the rear clip and pull straight up. I then disconnected the cable. I have CRC MAF cleaner. Do I just spray everything with the cleaner including the tabs that the cable connects to?

If you mean the male pins in the socket I would not spray them with your MAF cleaner. It's meant for oil and grunge and spraying it on this part may cause trouble. There are cleaners for electronic components and they would be your best bet.

I am with 180..... just clean the sensor itself, air dry it and re-install......

I know this is an older thread and there are many other maf threads on the forum, but I came across another excellent youtube video by Paul "Big Daddy" that makes the removal of the maf sensor a very simple project.
I couldn't find it on the forum but it would make a great addition to the Crossfire list of repairs if not already there.
Thanks again Paul, keep them coming.
Steve
