Default Brake Light Replacement

Is there a trick to replacing the brake light on a 2005 Coupe?

I accessed the bulb with no problem but when I replace the light it doesnt feel secure.
When I press it doesnt samp or anything to indicate its locked.

When I press it gives and bit but then pushes back

Do you just simply press in place?

Also the warning light went from ON to OFF then ON when pressing the brake pedal, now its back on all the time.

Default Re: Brake Light Replacement

The light turns in the socket to lock it in. Push it all the way in where the two slots for the two nubs are, and turn. The socket turns into the lamp housing pretty much the same way, but they are not nubs, they are tabs. Once turned its very secure and solid. If you don't have that feel, you haven't done it right.

I"m having to replace my bulb socket on the brake light, for some reason it melted slightly and the blub, will not turn in socket . Can get the light to come on but comes loose and goes out.
