CPS and Light Issue's

Just bought this 2005 crossfire limited with 80k miles on it.

The "Exterior Light Out" light was on when i bought it and only comes on when the headlights are on. I found out that the passenger tail light, corner light, and license plate lights were out. But when i close the trunk hard they all come back on and the indicator light turns off.

I check the wiring for the tail light and wiggling it does nothing. Also the car throws the P0335 code for the CPS but gives no check engine light and runs fine.

Any ideas?

Re: CPS and Light Issue's

Maybe the P0335 code is also associated with low fuel? my fuel light was on and i was unable to clear the code. After filling up the code is gone.

Your lighting looks like a connection or ground problem based on your statement that slamming the trunk made it go away.....:(

The P0335 means you need to replace the CPS before it fails completely....;)

If you have a CEL for the P0335 code and you successfully start the car normally more than 3 times the CEL will clear..... it has nothing to do with your gas tank....
