I think us owners in the UK are ripped off big time!

The roadsters seem to be in the UK now. When I went to the dealer yesterday they had two in the showroom (one red and one ssb) and one blue available for test drive. I didn't look at the price though.

i don't think you provided enough information. is it a base model or limited? auto or stick? freight included? processing fees? etc., etc.

that said, i wouldn't be too surprised if 05 limited coupes with manual transmission eventually sell for that much. since at last one dealer i'm familiar with offered 04s at that price earlier in the year, and the fact that the 04s and 05s are pretty much identical, it wouldn't be unrealistic to see 05 prices come down now. keep in mind that crossfire sales were poor in june.

The base model coupe has an MSRP of $29,900, the Limited coupe has a MSRP of $34,600.

$27,900 for a base model coupe would be a normal discounted price.

Saldous - I don't think UK buyers got ripped off at all. Remember the 05 Base model is not the same as the 04 model (e..g., no leather, only in Black etc.) To buy a comparable 05 to the 04 one must purchase the Limited Crossfire. When you look at the MSRP for the Limited 05 and the Base 04 they are nearly identical.

What is the prognosis of you Crossfire? When I read your post it was ghastly that your dealer did nothing while you where in Boston. Frankly, if I lived in the UK, I am not sure I would have purchased the Crossfire with so many phenomenal automobiles available (i..e., Lotus Elise with rover engine). I would love to have a restored Austin Healey.

True, I forgot the 05 base didn't have all the options. In the UK it all comes as standard!!

The Lotus Elise isn't practicle for me with work. I need something I can be comfortable in on the motorway for 2-3 hours going to and from customer meetings.

Garage still has my car. I will call them again later to chase them. I need a car for tomorrow so either they give me mine back whilst they wait for the parts or they give me something else while they have mine. I'll keep you all posted.

That is a base model discounted price! The base is only a manuel trans, cloth interiorand maybe only in black.I'm not sure what other options it doesn't have.

I think D.C. came up with this lower price to market against the Zs'.But for dealers to discount that seems to me to drop the market price on all Crossfires even lower.

Probably the one on the wall, above the center storage bin and up between the seats, right below the umbrella hooks.

huh? No, there really IS no need to ask questions here that are answered straight from the horses mouth. You're too f-ing lazy to go look yourself if the base model comes with leather seats. I took the 3 minutes to find the answer for you, and created a PDF of ALL of the features and put it on a web site with a simple link people can click and see directly.

so go pinch your own nuts you ungrateful bxtch.

(PS: Sorry Vegas, no clue, but you can see how I took it)

In my post I stated....

"Some things the Basic (Standard) Crossfire lacks.. "

"Some" being the operative word. Where in D.B.'s PDF are leather seats mentioned?

http://home.comcast.net/~burnsdg/Cro...re_Options.pdf

I could not fine a reference to them.
