Default Chance encounter or Marketing ploy?

While filling my Crossfires tank today, a smokin hot (early 20's something) blond gets out of a newer Scion tC at the pump next to me. With a big smile on her face she says, "You have a really beautiful car". I thanked her, and told her I liked her Scion too.
When I got back in the car, my Wife says, "So what did that pretty young thing have to say to you"? I said she just commented on the car, but I knew what she was REALLY saying. My Wife says Ya right, in your dreams.lol
All joking a side, I've never owned a car that garners more positive comments and admiring looks from young women than the Crossfire does.
Anyway, when I got home, (just for the heck of it) I checked out the Scion web site (because I really do like the new Scion FR-S/Subi) and this is what I found.

Scion iQ | iQ By Scion Images & Videos | Scion.com

So now I'm wondering if she may have just been a "plant", strategically placed there by Scion just to get guys who drive "sports cars" to start thinking, "Scion.
Guess what, I'm thinkin Scion, (and donuts)

They are just happy that they are allowed to eat donuts for once! They probably had to give up eating for a week after that day...

You're probably right James.lol
On a side note, I actually tried out the back seat of that Scion (in the video) at the new car show in Cleveland. I wouldn't want to spend much time back there, but I did fit. But then nobody offered me donuts either.

Girls and Scions go together fantastically well.. I've had tons of fun encounters with girls driving tC's.. Like one time when a girl and I both got pulled over for driving too fast... I asked the cop to give her my number but I don't think he ever did... and he fined me for having a license plate holder...

But I digress. Scion is pretty clever with their marketing...

Dumb commercial. I'm surprised the blonde wasn't driving like that but then, I guess brunettes can be just as stupid as well.

Ok let me get this straight....A HOT 20 year old came over to get Pumpped and told you how she loved your Crossfire, then you went home and ate the donuts and milk watching the funniest Commerical possible, while your wife was making fun of you in your dreams....

I guess watching that commerail screwed me up too. By the way my wife was showing this older Crossfire owner how to clean guns and not to talk to HOT 20 year olds. hahahahaha

As you get older and older more and more women get hot looking, that's life. I've seen hot looking great grand mothers, honestly.

I was going to say the same thing....when somebody asks me about the car they usually aren't hot 20 something women. Good story Mike and makes me want to fill up more often but then again my better half looks young so what do I need with a 20 year old asking me about my car

And trading them in gets costly plus the training of a new one can be nerve wracking.
