Can the standard Xfire CD player play MP3's?
As the Xfire doesn't have a CD multiplayer as standard I thought it would be great to make a single MP3 Cd that can hold aroung 10 albums.
BUT..... does the player support MP3? Thanks guys. (Car arrives Friday! Fingerscrossed) |
It should. I've played many burnt CDs I made off my computer. Just make sure you put it on a CD-R and not a CD-RW though perhaps, because a lot of CD players can't read those...learned that one the hard way.

Ok, Thanks.
MP3's are poorer quality therefore you can fit almost 10 times as many tracks on them. The catch is the player needs to be a lot smarter to read these MP3 CD's |
The Crossfire CD player does NOT play MP3's.
It reads CD-R and CD-RW just fine but only with CD-Audio on them. |
Thanks SeaXfire!
My Xfire on order is also a Graphite, auto with two tone interior. We have good taste! Would I invalidate my warranty if I 'Chipped' it? It strikes me that the base 215 bhp is a little weak! I think it 'needs' 250BHP at least. |

No MP3 capabilities I'm afraid, as already stated,
And if you choose to chip it and the dealer finds out under warranty work, then they are quite within their right to not do it, IF they can prove the warranty work is related to the chip upgrade ! |

Re: Can the standard Xfire CD player play MP3's?
It appears to have already been established that it plays CD's in CD Audio format only.

The MP3 disk that my daughter burned for me does not work in the XF player.
