Potential Crossfire Owner UK - is this a good deal?

Hi folks

Saw an ad on Honest John's website that prompted me to put my name down for a coupe, auto with metallic on a 12-month personal lease route from New Car Leasing in Stockport. 500 deposit and 349 (no VAT) for 12 months then hand it back!

Buying cars at this level always costs a bomb so I thought I'd go the personal lease for a change - it sounds a good deal to me, so if anyone else is doing this let me know, or if you've got a better deal elsewhere let me know :-)

Cheers

M

It is true. I have signed on the dotted line!

900 down and 279 per month

This must be without VAT! If it includes VAT then they really are giving them away and residuals are bound to take an absolute hammering. Sprint Contracts are doing a similar deal, again without VAT but to Ltd Companies only.

Of course, I'm still paying a lot for a car I won't own, but just putting a sensible amount down (500) and paying monthly for a brand new car like the Crossfire has got to be a great deal!

Mine's a personal contract hire. Manual, Silver, no satnav.

I paid just shy of 900 down (150+vat and 3 months down) and pay 234 inc VAT per month (199+vat). Deal was available for a short time around the British Grand Prix through EasyCarContracts and Skyfleet.

When I collected mine from Lancaster's the salesmen told me the deal had been pulled as the financier (Royal Bank of Scotland) was unhappy with the structure of the deal, as it had a high residual.

"Rumour" has it that 20 people ended up getting this deal.

:D

Mellowman,

There is no Vat on our payments.

I know they look too good to be true but they are based on a purchase price of 20,800.

It would have been 500 down if I had opted for a Black (non Metallic) one.

Kings Stockport had 30 last week and sold the last one yesterday.

I see you are in Chester. We work in Queensferry and live in Knutsford, maybe we can meet up?

Thanks for the reply - yep, one helluva deal! It does seem as if the bottom is crashing out of the Crossfire market, with many fingers burned...

I'm speaking to NCL tomorrow, nothing signed yet, maybe twist their arms a bit more :-)

Actually I'm in Scotland now (long story...) but will be down to Chester in about 10 days, hopefully with new toy. Will certainly be very keen to meet up for a chat so will let you know I'm around.

I temporarily gave up spending big sums on quite nice sporty cars a while ago, but then something crops up like this and I'm all excited again!

hello, what's a good deal ? I think the fact that they emptied their inventory means alot!

DC is putting cars on the road they know will sell more!

It's a great marketing idea that's how Lexus did it!
