ENGINE CHECK Code's

Hi all,

The engine check light went on, so i went to the garage to check it out.

The machine came up with 2 code's but there was no text.

If anyone knows what they mean.. and what to do next please help me out.

Curently i'm still driving the car, the enginecheck light came back on after deleting the errors... later it went off again.

This are the code's

P2023

P20D4

Thanks,

Dennis

Try search, 2023 is the air pump. The other number may be wrong.

The Airpump for the door locking system?

cause there was a loose air-cable a while ago..

Plugged it back in, and while reaching the pump i triggered the alarm.. but the central locking system is working again.

Thx for your reply,

No, not THAT air pump, the P023 is the air pump mounted on front of the engine on a N/A, and on the fender well on a SRT6.
1. the pump could be bad.
2. the driver module ( the finned thingey on the fender well ) could be bad.
3. the RCM could have bad solder joints or burnt relay contacts.

Thx for the info Alex,

Since i'm not a car mechanic what whould be the best option at this point.

Can i keep driving the car like this?

How do i find out whats the problem?

What would the approximate cost to correct the problem assuming the worst scenaro (broken airpump).

thx again.

I would say you can drive the car but get it fixed soon. The dealership always told me if the check engine light is blinking you have a serious problem
