I think the second owner got duped into paying more for a "Mercedes Edition", and is hoping to pass the dupe.... And its a base model to boot.... Great shape but still a base edition.

 

Yeah, that's probably what happened. Some smooth car salesman said these are so rare and will only increase in value. I wonder when this is sold if they join this forum and realize what they got. We shall see.

 

Could this be the next "Black Max" edition as the MB edition?

It's a limited not a base model. Still false represented.

 

Its a base with silver strakes. Cloth seats, black radio *****, black door handles, black engine cover and black windshield surround all say base model.

 

You're right. I was looking at it through foggy eyes and didn't see those things.

 

I'm not bidding more than 55K.

Several other "give-aways": no fog lights, bin instead of cup holder, no netting on passenger side of console, window sticker-DUH! Overpriced quite a bit, but looks like it's been well cared for. I'm not crazy about all the M-B decals & emblems all over. Kinda like the car to be highlighted as a XFire, not a M-B clone.

It IS one clean, well-loved coupe. Lookit the shine on that car - reminds me of boiler's beauty.

I paid $12,000 for my Roadster with 44,000 on it. I'd offer him $10,000.
