Default Mercedes DAS/SDS/Xentry compatibility.

Funny story: I'm a technician, I work at a Mercedes Benz dealership and own a Crossfire, but I'm not sure how to make it communitcate with the factory computer (SDS). Has anyone had any luck with this? I assume someone on the forums has made the two talk to eachother.

Don't you need one of these for the system? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrysler-Crossfire-DRB-III-3-CH9044-Software-Program-Card-lh-21602-/360658338536?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item53f8e982e8&vxp=mtr

Unfortunately one of the few things that is not purely mercedes is the programming. (Well at least some of it). There are others that will give you more detail but you need the Chrysler star DAS system to get to certain things from my understanding. (Airbags and such) do some searching through skaters v8 swap thread as he has been doing a lot of playing. Web 2.0s thread about supercharging the NA has lots of technical info as well.

You can view and diag just about everything in StarDAS using the R170 SLK320 16pin connector option. The only thing I have found you cannot do is version code.

Or initial startup, or HHT-WIN for the immo, BCM's etc lol.

What do you mean by version code though?

I have no problem looking at both SAAMs, EGS, ME, Cluster, BAS/ESP, and radio. Anything in regards to coding a module will not work because the VIN number stored in the module is not a MB VIN. But all adaptations, actuations, testing procedures and data viewing works just like any R170.

We don't have SAM's lol

But yeah viewing works fine, testing is ok, and the ME isn't HHT-WIN but I get what you're saying. The Immo, BAS/ESP, and BCM manipulation is what doesn't work though. Bob (lantana) already figured out that those were Chrysler encrypted which is why we can't mess with them. That's all I was referring to. If you know how to access the Immo through HHT-WIN, by all means let me know please!
