North East Pricing

Hi All,

I'm looking at adding another car to the family "fleet". I test drove a couple of Crossfire's the past few days and I am quite impressed.

The dealer offered a price of $26000 for a '04 which is about $8500 off list price. I noticed in an earlier post some of the guys on the left coast we seeing discounts of $11,000. Am I being offered a great price for an '04 or should I keep looking/negotiating?

BTW, I was really impressed with this car. I do track days with a motorcycle and bet this car would be great on the track.

Anybody drive a Crossfire in the snow? What's it like( I live in NJ)?

Any advise youse guys can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks,

BCC

I just picked up a 2005 limited with 13 miles on it for $22,000. The dealer could not sell it as new as it had a few scratches from hurricane damage in florida. I figured it was a great deal with easy to fix minor body work.
I also am curious how it will handle in snow / rain conditions.

Forget ther snow guys. They're REALLY bad in it. Especially if you get the Michelin Pilots.

I don't know how well the Xfire is in snow as I haven't driven mine in the snow (and probably won't). In this area, dealers seem to order the Continental ASP (all season performance) tire option for an additional $182 as standard. Maybe the car you're looking at has them; look at the sticker (or the tires). The Conti's will certainly be better than the Michelin PS2's, but an all-season tire is not a snow tire.

How much $s of minor paint and body ? sounds like a good price, except new unmarked 04s are almost that much.

About $700 +/- in body work. The dealer sticker is still in the window.
Another lister just quoted his dealer price on an 04 at $26,000. Probably could find an 04 for that or less but I opted for 05 for all the obivious reasons.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. If I can agree a price, I'll make certain the car has the all season tires....
