Default SRT6 due in the UK May 2005!

Deposits are now being taken for the SRT6 by UK dealers with an expected delivery of May 2005. Not sure if this is new news, but certainly was for my dealer!

What is the UK price? How will this affect the resale price of my coupe?

I'd love to know what my dealer would give me for a trade in. But I'd never get the SRT not after the pain of losing so much on this one.

£34k for the Coupe & £35k for the Roadster, appx trade-in value in May will be £17k!

Best bet is to buy one after 6 months off the forecourt at around £26k - Cos they won't sell any given the Crossfires history in the UK!

They sure are gonna struggle to sell any at 34K thats Boxster money and moves the competition to a whole new set of cars, prob insurace group 20 as well!

By the way my BMW lost shed load in yr one too £25k down to 17k, the first year loss is always bad, if the car had been priced right the drop would have been about right

If I am offered only £17k trade, they can stick it where the sun don't shine! I managed to get a guaranteed residual of £13k and thats in 2.5 years from now. I'll just wait for that and hand it back! (Still love the Xfire though!)

bloody hell! 17K only!! well I'm glad I done a great deal on mine, £270 a month, 18K max, drop the keys back after 12 months, so I would have spent £3240 for 12 months all in. I really do want to keep the car as its superb, and done so much to it now. SRT sound like a great car, not sure about the Boeing 747 rear wing!

I wish you could buy/upgrade the SRT-6 mechanics in the Coupe body. I don't like the wing on the SRT-6.
I have a guaranteed residual of £11,600 in April 2008 when my current deal £403/month (no deposit) comes to an end. This is based on a mileage of 48,000 after 4 years.

My Voyager lost a lot in the first year because I did 28,000 miles, but since the mileage is now about average, its resale value is improving with time.

SOunds like you guys need a yank to chime in. I just got offered 19k us dollars trade in for my XF, finally talked them up to 22,500. Was trading it in a 2002 M3. Still 7 grand in negative equity hurts the payment so ended up not buying.

I have just spoken to my dealer in Farnham. They are NOT bothering to get any SRT-6s due to the poor sales of the Coupe.

well, how about the guy who purhcased a brand new BMW Z4 Alpina last summer, 54K it was, gorgeous, now on the forecourt for £34k! So I guess he had it even worse. I think I'm going to stick with my xfire this year, love the car, spent too much on "bits". But as I said, the spec on the UK spec xfire SRT6 seems amazing....

They are going to be special order only, we can order for stock but it is optional. A few will be ordered for Dealer Principal transportation I would imagine & thats about it.

On Feb 1st we will re-align the original car to £24995 Coupe & £25995 Roadster, ( where it should have been in the first place) £34k is too much for the SRT6, we were hoping for £29995. I am not going to stock one, mind you we do have an SRT10 on order!

It makes you sick that they can do this to us by dropping the price by £4000 in 15 months of being on sale. Can we do anyting about it? Maybe asking for some cashback (DREAMING)

The Coupe has been unofficially £25k for 6 months now, so it's no surprise. Complaining will just be a time wasting exercise.

probably but DC need to know that those who waited a year for the car aren't happy with the way they have behaved and that they have just lost valuable customers who were willing to pay list price.

I know from running my web business never **** off the early adopters, you need them!
