neighbor traded in her XF...
My older neighbor just traded in her white 04 limited for a new chrysler 200. Her crossfire was in excellent condition and only had 10,000 miles on it and they only gave her $5,600 for it!! For those on the market keep an eye out for it in the Baltimore Maryland area.
Why did she trade it in - You can nearly always do better with a private sale

Yea i know. I wish she would of told me ahead of time as i told her exactly wut u just said.
I'm looking for a white low mileage Coupe. I know it was probably an automatic (and I want a manual) but for the right car, I would have made an exception.
Can you get more info on the dealer, like their name. I'm very interested.
Thanks

I will do my best to get the info. Its a shame i didnt know ahead of time cuz someone off the forum could of bought it for around $7k. Now that the dealer has their hands on it, they are gonna eat that low mileage (10,015 to be exact) up and sell it for damn near 3 times as much.

The dealer probably has about an effective $3,000-$3,500 in the car.
In the old days when a dealer got a steal like than it would likely get passed on to someone's son or daughter withing the organization. Now with all the mega dealerships and partnerships, it will likely get bounced around a bunch before finding a new home. By then, the provenance a will likely get lost along with the owners manual.
It is a sad tale this.

Less than a dozen Chrysler dealerships in the Baltimore area. If I were a buyer I would have spoken to all of them by now. This one is worth some effort.
I would think a look at her new car would identify where the deal took place. Can't imagine a dealer not using the new one for a billboard.

If you walk over to her house, just look at the dealer sticker or license plate trim to ID the dealer she traded the Crossfire.

Calm down lol she not my next door neighbor. Shes about 1/4 mile away with a few turns in between. Once weather is better i will obtain info.
Any interested party could just pick up the next 2004 with less than 10K on it that has had one elder female owner with the dealer's known cost basis of less then $6K.
I just drove over to her house and she told me that it is at Thompson Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler in Edgewood, Maryland. Turns out she went there to attempt to get her sticky ignition fixed. Dealership did wut dealerships do best and fed her a bunch of BS to scare her and she ended up leaving with a new 200- "well im gonna be completely honest with u, do u have another car to drive cuz they dont make parts for thus car anymore and i dont know how long its gonna sit her and wait to be fixed in the meantime"- salesman. i just told her thats a common prob with the XF's and i fixed my sticky ignition about a year ago myself in about 30 mins (thanks to the forum). Good luck!

My response came from once missing a 1 of 50 TVR Griffin and later a 1990 Dakota factory convertible which was the twin to mine but had 4x4 and a stick shift which complemented my automatic. I was just hours late on one and a day or two on the other.
I wish I had had a better sense of urgency.
Thanks, again for bringing this find to the forum.
