Double Din standard kit project: Survey
Double Din standard kit (or Tablet) project: Survey
Hi Guys
I would like to know how many would be interested in a Double Din Standard kit (or Tablet)
After all the time I spent on mine, and all the frustration I went through. I thought that would be nice if a kit could exists.
It will not be an easy task, as it need a complete reverse engineering, Relocating the switches with a custom bezel.
But my goald would be to provide an almost plug and play bezel, which gonna replace the current one. Not a hack of yours, so you could be able to go back stock
Thats the main goal
A custom hack of your dash bezel usually cost anywhere between 1500 to 2500 in a car audio shop (and your bezel is modified so no way to go back)
My goal would be to manage to make it as cheap as possible, maybe for half that, maybe less.
I still think that the weak point of our beauties is the front bezel which looks really outdated compared to the rest
So please vote on the above Pool, or in facebook poll here:

If you have any other thoughts, like more interested in a kit for a Tablet instead of Double Din Standard let me know here
So, please vote even if you are not interested. To know if you want me to spend time on that

I made really good progress on the front bezel. Still have a bit of fine tuning for the dimension of the opening.
Now I am working on the relocation of the switches part which is the most tricky.
Once this part is done it only gonna be a matter of weeks

I had it done at a stereo shop, came out like this. I love it. Would do it again if I bought an SRT-6
sorry for the messed up blurry images. If anyone cares enough I will take better ones
