Default What Color is your Crossfire?

MI implied that black was just a base color, so I want a poll to get the count of the color of your crossfire. PLEASE NOTICE I HAVE TWO BLACK CHOICES, BLACK BASE(and would have chosen different color) AND BLACK(Limited, SRT and Base wanted Black) . The pupose of this is not weight the choice of color by base models whose only choice was black, so it really wasn't a choice. I realize that base owners may have preferred black anyway. Poll doesn't have enough entries for what color you would have wanted if base was not limited to black. Also coupe does not have yellow and SRTs are limited to first four choices(aero blue, black, graphite, saphire silver blue)

My feelings are hurt because you didn't include "Inferno Red" which is actually a different colour from Blaze Red. Its a shade different, but I don't know the origin, ie why did Chrysler switch from Blaze to Inferno. Did they run out of Blaze. Is inferno for us Canadians only? Who knows?

Its OK tho, I voted BLAZE red because I hate to be left out of anything! ;-)

sorry andrew I went to chrysler web site and got colors available from their web site. I didn't know about inferno red. I don't think I can edit poll after initial creation. Anyway I don't know how because I tried editing my first post and there was no way to edit poll that I saw.

Actually, Andrew, I am pretty sure we figured out that Inferno Red is a premium color. It's extra. If you have your window sticker, look to see if it's listed as an option. I LIKE the inferno red!

Actually blaze red is listed in the Chrysler 05 specs only for the Crossfire coupe and roadster. The Inferno red is available for the Pacifica, Town & country, PT Cruiser, PT conv., Sebring sedan and conv. It's not listed for the XF, so I'm assuming it was a premium color for the XF. I've attached a scan of the 2 colors from the brochure. There IS a definate difference if you see them next to each other.

Oh, no worries, Buckeyedad42. I was just teasing.

MI Roadster, you're right, we did have a discussion on this colour topic some time ago. I remember seeing it printed on something from Chrysler when I first got the car, and now I can't find any reference to the colour. I am missing some documents from the sale, so obviously my foolproof filing system did not account for the fool doing the filing.... The search continues...

Inferno Red must have been a Western Canada thing because in Ontario, it is Blaze Red.
What's in a name anyways.

I have an 88 Corvette that is really Corvette Yellow from the factory; when it got to the Canadian border (in 1988), GM Canada decided to rename it Cream Desert Sand (that's on the original GM Canada window sticker that I have). Go figure that one.
It still is Corvette Yellow to me unless I want to think of it as a unique Cream Desert Sand Corvette factory paint job.

By the way, on the french side of the window sticker, it says "Desert Creme Sand".

Again, what's in a name?
