'04 Spoiler "no workie"
Good evening folks,
After replacing the stereo tomorrow, my next repair is the rear spoiler. I have tried to research "spoilers" but only found threads on STR's and folks looking for replacements.
Anyhow .... My O4' Coupe rear spoiler well .....It won't engage. I have checked and replaced the fuses...but still nothing. If it's a solenoid or motor ... then how would one raise the wing to get to the solenoid ?
Has this happened to you ?
If so, what was the problem ?
Where you able to R & R it yourself ?
Can Ya, help a Brother out ?

Okay, click on forums then click on technical then click on TSB's and how to articles then scroll down to n/a spoiler removal guide. 👍

Florida 13, You have to remove the trim pieces on the inside of the hatch. There is a screw under the cover in the handhold. Pop off the lower panel. Next are 2 screws holding the upper panel in place.

Re: 04' Spoiler "no workie"
Removal of the NA spoiler has its own PDF file showing you how to get it off.
CLICK
The use of silicone as a seal is not to be recommended as you would not be able to get the spoiler off again if anything went wrong again, the use of silicone would be a very bad idea.
The seal used originally is a cause of a lot of leaks in this area, how to seal it properly is in another PDF made for the SRT6 spoiler leak fix.
