HID Headlamps

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

New to the forum here. I don't know much about cars, but I would love to learn more. I bought a 2005 Crossfire with 51k miles on it almost two years ago. No issues so far, but I want to upgrade the headlights for two reasons: 1) The car is so damn sexy already, but I feel like that one or two little improvements will make it seem that much better, and 2) The stock headlights don't light anything up! The headlights aren't really aren't very foggy at all, but I can barely see 5 feet in front of me. When I first got the car, I was afraid of getting pulled over....

I looked through the forums already, but there was so many conflicting opinions on headlights. I really just want my low beams to match my fog lights (don't want one yellow, and one white), and might even consider putting in HID's for the high beams too. I have no doubt in my friends ability to install them, but could someone please give me confirmation that these lights will do the trick?

Thanks a bunch! - Brian

The Retrofit Source has Morimoto's for both the headlights and the fogs, H7 & 9006.
Can't get much better than those IMHO.

 Did you check and see the bulbs are 'seated' correctly? The low and high beams are 180 degrees out from each other. The little tabs fit into a indent in the headlight socket. If the tab is down, the other one is up (high vs low bulbs). That is usually what is wrong when the member has a concern about not being able to see down the road. Hope it is a simple fix!

Ala - Thanks so much for your help! Do you have the 6,500k? Those should have a slight blue tint to them right, or are they just white?

Also, is there a big difference between 35 and 50w? I was going for as bright as possible, but dont want it to be obnoxious. And finally, wire harness hd relay vs. Canbus?

I will check how the headlights are seated. I had to replace one already and I tried to set it up higher, but if I remember correctly, the tab/clip would only let me adjust it to one position?

I have the 35's CANBUS no relay, I believe mine are 4500 or 5000 K, no blue, just white.

So I ordered the 35w 5,500k h7 and 9600. I will let you all know how they turn out! Thanks for the advice.
