How do I tell when the windshield washer reservoir is full? I did find out when it was over full the hard way.

That is also the way you find out that it is full.

Windshield Washer Reservoir 7.0 L (7.4 qts.) other than this there is no dip stick or visual way to check it when it is empty add a gallon and go.

every time the dealer fills mine up....it spills out the underside of the car....it's apparently hard to tell when it's full, until it's too late.

yes it is, 7qts = 1 1/2 gallons i'll put in 1/2 gallon every time just to keep the light off and not make a mess in the engine area.
