Just turned 5000 miles and exhaust note is getting a little louder. Will it develop into a throaty sound on its own as the miles build up (how many miles) or will a after market Magnaflow be the answer?

 

i got the magnaflow, my only complaint is i now have a vibration in the rear cargo area, but im sure i'll be able to find it and fix it no problem, i just haven't gotten around to it. here's what i bought, and i think cyril has the same one...Vendor - MAGNAFLOW STAINLESS MUFFLER

i have 16K on my '04 and i still want a better exhaust note. but from what i've read on the magnaflow/borla, its not much different than what the car will sound like after a few miles, so there's no way im paying $600 on a guess...

can anyone compare the borla/magnaflow to, for example, a stock 350z/G35 maybe?

 

the BORLA isn't much different than the stock system, the MAGNAFLOW is completely different. if you're looking for throaty go magnaflow, if your looking for stealth performance increases go borla.

I've had 15k in my crossfire and I've had my magnaflow since 3k. I didn't notice any difference or change of sound at all since I got it and I've fixed the problem about others complaining that it's too loud by adding more insulation around my doors. It also fixed the problem about my door popping and wind noise. Im very much happy with it as of now and I'm still waiting for a true exhaust muffler that can add more HP to our crossfires (I don't think Borla claimed more HP increase with their exhaust).
