Default Spoiler operation on lock/unlock?

I remember reading something on here about a member who figured out make the spoiler come up when the car is unlocked, and down when the car is locked. Does anyone know how to make that happen? I'm up for whatever challenge it is! Thanks guys.

Why, just a visual of whether you remembered to lock it? If you are driving it you can raise or lower it as you please.

Yes, completely as a visual thing.

I've been here since 2009 and I sure don't remember that.

But you CAN do what you want to do - there are outputs from the locking module you can use to trigger a microcontroller that you then use to operate the motor in the trunk lid (of course, you will want to disconnect completely from the BCM any wiring to the wing motor). You could even hijack the wires from the dash switch and connect them to the controller, giving you manual control as well as automatic deployment via the locking module.

You need to download the service manual and look at the wiring, get an understanding of how the limit switches in the lid work, get an understanding of the outputs from the locking module - then order a controller here:
https://www.arduino.cc/

Once you get the hang of programming those boards, you will be able to automate almost anything - in your car or home!
