Kelly,
Is DC suggesting that the Charger is the next progressive step after Crossfire ownership with this promotion?

How about you guys giving a jump start to the Crossfire Aftermarket Performance market. Maybe if those of us who race the car in SCCA and other sports car events had the proper modifications to start winning races, you'll start selling more cars!!! Remember the old slogan "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday"...

Tell you what, save the car giveaway, I'll just take a new SRT6 engine!!!

Anyone interested in finding out details to win? There will be a vehicle given away every week to a lucky winner. How many of you guys would like to see a promotion like this involving the Chrysler Crossfire? Any idea’s please let me know.

Thanks

So far, I thought Chrysler hasn't been ABLE to give away Crossfires.

I think promotions like the possible give-aways certainly make an impression on the public, but how do you "drive" the publics awareness & interest into sales? More aggressive advertising is needed.

I don't yet own a crossfire, but I certainly plan to, hopefully within the next 12 months. My decision is that it's a great looking car, it has style unlike any other, which is nice considering all the cookie-cutter cars out there.
The car is also limited because of it's pricing and the fact that it's a two seater sets it into a somewhat unique customer base. For me it makes sense, when I drive to work (most of my driving) I don't need to "drag an extra seat and doors with me".

Basically for me it comes down to something my wife said to me when I always talk about the crossfire: "Oh, You're just having your Mid-Life Crossfire". (I'm 51 so it makes sense to me, and if you can use that in your advertising, GO FOR IT!)

* Also: My wife wants a new charger as well, perhaps within the next 12 months as well. We'll see.

I have the same question posted to me ..."are you having a midlife crisis here?" Well if I am so be it because it sure is fun going through...haha.

You use to have 2 Crossfire giveaways when it first came out, one from the Art of Driving, and the other through Chrysler.com. Mobile, and Eversave are currently giving out Crossfires. I would love to see a SPECIAL EDITION be RAFFLED off.

Can you please bring back the events to Southern California, we haven't seen a Chrysler sponsored event since 2000 or so!

When Goggling the Crossfire over the last year...
I've come across a few people selling their Crossfires that they've won!

They don't even want them when they're free!!! Such a shame.
(I think one of them was the 76 Gas give away)

The '05 SRT I bought had 80 miles on it & was part of a complicated barter/trade between a guy & a dealer. It seems the dealer threw the car in to sweeten a deal!

I got the deal! 80 miles on the OD & $15,000 under MSRP!

my $0.02

I am not going through a mid life crisis, I'm just picking up where I left off before I had kids. Because now they are all gone from the nest and I can have my sports car back. They even think it is cool.

Hey, I am 62 and I have been going through the "mid-life crisis" since I was 35! In '97 I bought a Mustang Cobra. A co-worker asked if I was ever going to grow up...I asked him why I should. Life is short...drive on!

....is it possible that a 28 year old male could be going through his midlife crisis early? I bought my X-fire three weeks before I got married!

Hey,
I really appreciate all of your feedback. I will be sure to pass them forward.

Cwdilg, no…DaimlerChrysler is not suggesting that the Charger is the next progressive step after being a Crossfire owner. The Chrysler Crossfire being a Luxury Sports Car is totally different to the all American Muscle Car. We are just trying to introduce the Dodge Charger to all types of audiences.
A “Mid-life Crossfire” lol I haven’t heard that before.

TeriBil - you mentioned your wife wants a new Dodge Charger, here’s an FYI: There is another giveaway coming. Today, between 1pm – 2pm EST, you have the chance to be eligible to WIN. Click here, http://www.dodge.com and follow the instructions (remember: this has to be between 1pm – 2pm EST today). This will happen again October 11th and October 18th.

Good Luck Guys.

I’ll be around for comments and questions.

Kelly S
