Default Owners Manuals

Is there anyone out there that has not received the owners manuals yet? I have has my cfire now for 5 weeks and they tell me they are on backorder. Frustrating not knowing how anything works.

Yeah! Mine came with the car to, but there is no such thing as a maintenance log, in Canada at least. You may want to order the two part service manual from DC.

Not really true mine came with the maintenance log. I'm wondering cfire did you get your Xfire used and that's why you don't have the manuals? Bob has a good point maybe try getting the service manual you can order them here along with the owners manual: https://techauthority.gltghosting.co...atalogId=10051

all new cars come with a owners manual. All dealerships have them. It comes with the paper work and invoice off the truck. Your dealer you bought it from should have it. That is if you bought the car new. Used, and your on your own.

5 weeks is far too much! Every car must be equipped with a manual. As the others said, you probably have a used XF. The former driver lost it and your dealer can't order a new one. Call DC directly to hurry up sending you a new one, otherwise they risk high warranty costs because you don't know how to operate such a high tech car ( )! And tell them to take care that you get an US version...

In the meantime ask here in the forum. We are pleased to help...

Good to know that there is such a thing as a maintenance log in Canada as I tried to get one from DC since new and they said there wasn't any such thing. Could you take a pic of it and e-mail it to me so I can say "then what is this?"
Thank You.

Wonderful website Thank you, called the toll free number and the person told me the manuals are on backorder. Should ship Nov 04th. I bought the car with some miles on it but was told it was driven by a salesman for a short while (Demo).

Well I ran out to my car and got the manuals and hooked up my cheap web cam to take a quick pic for you. Then I saw the small white words that tell you "Excludes Viper and Crossfire" here is the pic https://www.crossfireforum.org/galle...cat/500/page/1. Sorry Bob looks like DC is right there isn't any Log book for these cars, cause the one I have with my car is just some generic one used for all DC cars.

Someone posted saying they got a maintenance log with the car, is it just a generic one or is it really for the Crossfire?

I made that post. My '04 coupe came with a plastic trifold with "Chrysler" and the wing logo embossed on it. Inside is a quick reference guide, the owners manual and a Crossfire specific maintenance log. It fits perfectly in the pouch between the seats on the bulkhead.

Thanks for the reply Ben. I got the trifold with the quick ref and owners but the maintenance guide was not for the Crossfire. Guess us Canadians are SOL if we want one.

My dealer sent me a personalized maintenance log. It came kinda like a gift about 2 weeks after I bought the car. They also gave me a book with 3 years worth of Mobile 1 oil changes. It was worth buying a C-Fire from a 5 star dealer! Also I did get the manual with the car. He had to go get it from a file. I think they do this because people must steel them when they take a car out for a drive. This way they can read about the car in detail I guess? Maybe that's what happened to yours?

Thanks for checking for me. All I could get was a generic one too.

The maintenance log I got is specific to the Crossfire. Its a "two sided" book, you use one side for the Schedule A service and one side for the Schedule B service as shown in the FSS.

Ditto here. If anyone is interested I will scan a page from each side of the book and post it.

I scanned the covers and the pages but have not been able to upload them to this thread. I'll put them in my image gallery.

Man, this is thread is getting silly. It has been posted here several times that all Crossfire's sold in the U.S. SHOULD come with a plastic trifold which contains:

1. Owners Manual
2. Quick Reference Guide
3. Crossfire Specific Maintenance Log Book
4. Crossfire Warranty Information Book

If you bought your car new in the U.S., the dealer should give you the entire package at the time you sign for the car and get your keys. If they didn't, they owe you.

If all else fails, you can order the entire set from Chrysler by calling their 800 number. The cost is about $26.00.
