Not having seen the underneath of the car I took advantage of this when getting the oil changed this past weekend. When I got up to the front I noticed the exhaust pipe right under the drivers side was flattened out a bit, WTF is that all about! I'm starting to wonder what a true dual exhaust system would actually do for this car? I see someone hear has one and another is looking to get a kit made up, but where would you put (2) mufflers under there?

 

A former member of the forum, wmichaels, had a true dual exhaust system fabricated for his car.

 

I wish I wrote his name down, maybe it was him and it was an old post. Either way though, I'd like to hear/feel that because although the car has good power IMO, it does feel a bit restrictive, you guys know what I mean?

It's oval pipe and doesn't effect the flow. Check my gallery for the dual exhaust pics. Two mufflers would be put where the original single muffler went or you can do what I did and get a dual in dual out that acts as two mufflers welded together (separate chambers on the inside). The two mufflers next to each other looked two ricey for me. And to answer what it does for the car, well let's just say that redline comes way too early. The car feels like it can pull for at least 500 - 1,000 more rpm. Time to get that computer tune.

 

I bet is sounds exactly like a V8 with that set-up, seeing how my Magnaflow makes the car sound very V8-ish, thats gotta be TWICE as nice, plus you get even more performance!

 

It sounds very nice, not quite as deep as my firebird, but loud and aggressive. I get a lot of attention from other cars that I never got or wanted before.
