Wow!! I bet that's "One of One". I have to admit, the owner of that SLK must have big brass ones, because I bet he gets "blasted" by his fellow MB owners for that mod.

So now this brings up the question I have had for a while. Will the SLK grill fit our cars? Opens up a lot more options if it does. Oh, and they won't admit it, but those posers at the MB boards like a lot of the parts from our cars. Things like dash buttons, speedo unit and other trim pieces. I have read of many owners swapping parts from the Crossfire.

And you are so right, it is definitely a grass is greener kind of thing.

This grill fitting that good makes sense because our cars are the same nuts and bolts inside a different cover! The grill bolts on the top and they made it fit there existing internal patterns such as the inside frame mounts!

I think I like it better on the slk! One thing I noticed on the slk is it looks like he taped off the silver and painted the background satin black - I did this on my car recently and it's kind of amazing what a difference it makes - It's not truly hideous anymore! The stock universal grey really enhanced the squashed minivan effect.

Imho, Ben
